Split ends are something that we can't ignore. No matter how hard we try, we always end up getting them in our hair. The only solution that comes to our mind is cutting our hair and that is not very convenient. The healthy look of our hair after a trim is short lived and we are back to level one. As annoying as this cycle of cutting and growing out our hair is, doesn't mean we can't prevent split ends from ruining our hair. In this post I will share some remedies that will help you out with the two headed monsters that show up at the ends of our hair. So lets begin......
WARM OIL TREATMENT:
This treatment is something that you can do at home without spending your entire life's savings. All you need is coconut oil or olive oil and a bowl. Gently heat the oils and make sure you don't over heat. Put them in a wide bowl and dip your ends in it for couple of minutes. Then gently work the mixture on the tips. Then cover your hair with a warm towel for 10 minutes. This will ensure better penetration of the oils. Rinse with shampoo.
TIPS TO PREVENT SPLIT ENDS:
- Brush your hair gently, working from bottom to the top.
- Condition the tips every time after shower. Dry hair are more prone to split ends.
- Don't over use heat tools.
- Don't brush hair when it is wet.
- Don't wrap hair in towel after shower.
- Deep condition your hair once in a while.
- Use gentle brushes and combs.
After following these simple tricks you are bound to have good hair. So next time you are having trouble with split ends consider these steps instead of chopping off your hair (which you spent a long time growing out).
